Det er længe siden jeg har haft et godt langt citat på bloggen, så lad os springe ud i det:
The usual people tried to claim responsibility.
First the IRA, then the PLO and the Gas Board. Even British Nuclear Fuels rushed out a statement to the effect that the situation was completely under control, that it was a one in million chance, that there was hardly any radioactive leakage at all, and that the site of the explosion would make a nice location for a day out with the kids and a picnic, before finally having to admit that it wasn’t actually anything to do with them at all.
Det gjorde godt, ikke? Tænk, hvis nogen nu om dage var så ivrige for at tage ansvar for noget – bare noget som helst.
Hvad stammer det fra? Jeg skal nok afsløre det om nogen dage, hvis ingen gætter det inden (og husk at svare på bloggen og ikke bare på Facebooks note-import, hvis det er der du har set det 😉 ).
Nå, så gik der pludselig 12 år, så jeg må jo hellere afsløre, at citatet stammer fra starten af kapitel, to i bogen “The long dark tea-time of the soul”, Douglas Adams’ klasikker om den holistiske detektiv Dirk Gently.
